DEFERRED LESSONS
Students are expected to commit to attending their lessons on a weekly basis. In order for a student to truly advance as a musician, and in order to provide our teachers with a steady revenue for a craft in which they have practised and studied countless hours honing, we must discourage truancy and we must set limitations as to the frequency of absences, skipped lessons, furthermore, your consistent attendance can only bring greater benefits to you in the learning of your instrument.
REMAKE LESSONS
Students may schedule one or more remake lessons within a 12 week period provided advanced notice is given and that there is an availability in the schedule at another day or time within the same week as the student’s regularly scheduled lesson. If there is no availability or there is no suitable alternate time-slot, the student will lose his/her lesson. If a remake lesson is cancelled it cannot be credited.
· REFUNDS
DISCONTINUATION
As a courtesy to your teacher and the administration, please provide us with at least one week’s notice of your intention to quit your music lessons. Please do not assume that a non-payment is a confirmation of your discontinuation. You will be removed from the schedule once when we have received your consent to do so or if we have not received a reply to our renewal confirmation.
REFUNDS
In the event that music lessons are cancelled before the end of the paid term, the remaining lessons can either be fully credited for future use (lessons or store purchase) or they can be refunded minus a penalty as provided for by the law. The penalty corresponds to the lowest of the following amounts, $50 or 10 % of the cost of the remaining lessons that have not been taken. The lesser of the two amounts will apply in accordance with the guidelines of the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.
