Gabriel Córdova is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist from Toronto currently based in Montreal. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in classical music from the University of Toronto and is now studying world music, jazz and music writing at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Music.
A pianist first and foremost, Gabriel also performs regularly as a vocalist and bassist. He often performs at Place des Arts and in other Canadian cities such as Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City. He is a member of the Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra and Choeur des Mélomanes and a frequent guest artist with Toronto’s Queer Songbook Orchestra. He has also worked with Exclaim music magazine in Toronto.
Gabriel is a long-time teacher. In Toronto, Gabriel has conducted the TCDSB Youth Strings Orchestra. He has also taken various pedagogical courses such as Dalcroze and Kodaly. A dynamic and flexible teacher, Gabriel adapts each lesson to the student’s goals and interests.
