Guitar teacher

Studies: Classical guitar, Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal
Classical guitar, Collège Marie-Victorin and Camp Musical du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean

At the age of 16, Karl was inspired to start playing the guitar by discovering the music of Jimi Hendrix. His first teacher was his father, who introduced him to the rudiments of several different styles of music. Shortly after, he discovered classical guitar and was inspired by this rich instrument with its varied repertoire.

He took private lessons and ended up studying for a year at the Conservatoire de Montréal and then went on to complete a DEC at the Cégep de Marie-Victorin. Since then, he has always juggled the classical genre with classical rock and blues. Today, he plays regularly in some cafés, restaurants or bars and during the summer in the pedestrian streets (and even sometimes in the Jean-Talon market behind!). Lately, he has developed a growing interest in helping others learn the guitar and passing on his passion.
