It was at the age of 8 that Pierre discovered his passion for the piano. From early on, he was learning different styles of music from Oscar Peterson to Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Motown, not to mention classical and pop music as well. He developed a particular interest for each genre and years later, after extensive classical training, he wanted to diversify his musical skills so he turned to jazz and improvisation which soon became his new passions. He then completed a Bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from the Université de Montréal.

Pierre was part of several musical groups with which he was able to acquire solid stage experience. In 2015, he had the chance to play at the Montreal jazz Festival . He has improved along great performers such as John Rooney, Fred Alarie, Dany Roy and Luc Beaugrand. Pierre is a music lover who has a desire to share his passion. He is jovial, creative and very tuned in to the needs of his students. He knows how to adapt to each in order to make their musical learning experience a positive, rewarding and entertaining one.
